So I went to where I know there are Canadians to ask, "Did they unfreeze all the bank accounts?" I didn't even have to ask. Here is my answer.
Ever since Donald announced he would be freezing bank accounts of known human traffickers, I've been getting queasier about this financial "tool" of government. I mean, I don't agree with them doing it as part of sanctions against other countries, but next it's "known" human traffickers — as opposed to convicted human traffickers — and then it's peaceful protesters in Canada, and then a headline last night scrolling past me about freezing the bank account of some suspected miscreant... well, it all goes to PROVE they really ARE planning a digital currency they can simply turn off if they don't like you.
