Yes, indeed, after all these years, I'm still pissed about Rubi not medaling in the London Olympics. At last I can allow as how his movement maybe was too bumpy for the gold, BUT the sheer difficulty of that grand prix performance and its otherwise impeccable execution should NEVER have been left out of the medals. I long for the day when dressage judges are more expert than their snobby urges.

I should add that judges insist on the line of the horse's head not tucking in from perpendicular to the ground, which is not physically feasible for Iberian stallions, let alone Rubi, whose chest and neck are SO extremely masculine in their development that they account for the bumpiness and the head position. Horsemen on a level high enough to qualify for judging here should know this stuff and NOT mark down horses for OBVIOUS physical impediments to performance as stately as that of the breeds from northern European countries.

Horse racism, if you will.
