It's turning into such a monster project to run down the veracity of so many of the important things that it becomes just ridiculously demoralizing to keep doggedly chasing it down. I try to stick to people I know are honest, who often don't know either, but have good sources of on the ground verification for a lot of what they put out. THAT is worth our time, but so much seriously fucked up "fact checking" is out there trying mightily to tear it down that too many people get hung up in the mindfuckery and I get a headache, a cosmos ache, the likes of which I hope you never know.
I have lots of personally important things to deal with — they require plenty of chi — quite as demoralizing as all the lies flying around like they can change truth — and indeed just the same shit, only in meatspace — and so it leaves me with an urge to go camp out in university stacks again... until I figure out the entire history of the cosmos and all its civilizations... or a rain of nukes spreads me into it.
