Please. Just go. It pains me to see because, much as she has outraged me over the years, she did also make the SEC take my calls when I was bringing down the REIT that wanted to eat 80-some thousand acres of redwood timberlands. I have to stay grateful for that, even if I can't lie about what a stupendously huge disappointment she has been as a senator.
I did actually get the feeling she was relieved to be able to facilitate the pursuit of justice by telling the SEC they had to listen to me, but it's been so long since we've had a California politician who was allowed to be truthful and do good work, all the avid for evil bastards aside, that I think Devin Nunes was the very last one, and he's gone now, too... resigned out sheer exhaustion.
