Lest you still think this was all stupidity, incompetence, mere miopia. These people in highest office have benefit of counsel from those who could foretell PRECISELY what would come from their maniacal moves. They did not merely ignore that counsel. They recognized they could achieve their goals by ignoring it. What we would see as error was and is no error. This has been and still is their goal.
