Backing me up on the matter of President Putin's cool head wisdom. Where others cannot withstand the provocations, he stays cool and sees the best, least destructive way forward. I remember having a fit about him letting so many corrupt oligarchs off the hook on some STRICT conditions, when he could have thrown, or tried to, the lot of them in the slammer, and I was hopping mad... but ended up having to think it all the way through and realize the transcendent sense of that move. Well, he keeps making trancendentally sensible decisions.
