To keep from being bummed out. I knew the quality on the free download was going to be crap... but not THAT crap... and then I noticed a comment stating that Hendrix was not on there at all. That is a lie.
He's DEFINITELY on there, but I think only singing in some of the songs, and either he was not playing any guitar or only trying to add into the sense of psychedelia Love was working on.
Whatever. It was a total letdown.
AND for all this time the only song I truly loved of theirs was Alone Again Or, and half of that was from seeing Arthur singing it in 2003. I was floored by the loving tiredness and sadness waffling off him... well... not really floored so much as tugged helplessly.
He was dead two years later, of leukemia they say was only diagnosed a couple months earlier. Maybe so, but Arthur definitely knew it was coming a couple years earlier.
