I make myself listen to snippets of the OG network shows and try not to spring a leak of cerebrospinal fluid, and I did it again today. Now I'm listening to VDH only on 1.25 speed... trying not to wilt from his increasing misuse of words and names because he's overall great and I'm staying on topic.
I cannot believe the amount of blather and bellicosity over tariffs. The point couldn't get any clearer, but dopes don't even seem to WANT to get the idea. The idea is: Donald is doing this to put American businesses on an equal footing with foreign ones, AND doing it in a manner that gives Main Street the gains instead of Wall Street.

The stock market has been wildly overpriced for decades now, while most businesses and industry are being strangled to death... over and over and over again... and if we don't get this back into a semblance of balance the dystopian nightmare of American life will get radically more extreme with the passing of each day now.
We're already off our cliff, hanging by the skin of our teeth.
Could we AT LEAST get back on our feet before you fucks go back to punching out our lights?
As I have been trying to illustrate, we each might end up having to pay more for certain things — IF WE CHOOSE TO — but this will send us all back in the direction of fiscal sanity and BALANCE. Give us back a middle class, get our debt paid down. Back on our feet.
Power mad psychopaths will still be much wealthier than anyone else. They'll just stop being SO powerful.

Get over it. Wall Street will pay and Main Street might have to pick things more sensibly... for a really much shorter time than if we'd waited another minute. Quit with the benighted whimpering. Good guys are trying to spare us MORE harm. Eggs are much cheaper, gasoline is going down by big chunks.
Those of us in California will gain the least, thanks to Grease Slick and his ilk, but the United States will start being MUCH healthier if we do not let those psychopathic fucks bring us down.
