Some improvement, but old patterns might not ever die. Still, if you try not to fall hook, line and sinker, you will be helped greatly by a close listen to this exchange. Just bear in mind that her modes of explanation shift in little bursts as time goes along — which might be good as one sees more deeply into things as one matures — but isn't very good for people who do NOT want to spend all kinds of money to go the very long way around Harvey's barn to find themselves, essentially, back at Square One.
I keep wanting to mention that I have quite a lot of sympathy for the men out there inveighing against women in positions of institutional power. I'm constantly smacking people who think putting a woman in — for our alleged superior powers of compassion — where men just keep seeming to us to be too brutal, is SUICIDAL.
Yeah, men are brutes from off world. NO question. Women, however are genocidal maniacs when anyone in their tribe is threatened, even, or maybe especially, hypothetically. I submit that finding civilized men who are also NOT harmless is really the only cogent choice when we wish to create the best possible future for civilization and planet.
Just bear in mind, the Admiral is perfectly aware of the narrative she's speaking into here, as everywhere she speaks. It's wonderful that she will speak to it the way she does, but we're talking words here, and not even words about deeds, or badly needed deeds, really ever covers it.
pipe up any time....
