I always prefer men's voices. Speaking or singing. It seems creepy or sexist to say it, but that's not it. It's my nerves. Mostly my nerves are unhappy with woman sounds, tense up or feel like someone's using them for a whip. Whereas, most men's voices soothe my aching nerves.
Not as much nowadays since there are SO many with voices too high, but, you know, in general.
I can also hear things in voices it's not easy to explain, but is why I almost always can't bear politicians' voices for long.
But I've loved Alison Krauss' voice since the first time I ever heard it. And it's just as good speaking as singing... I was so pleased to discover tonight.
