People, our brothers and sisters, are on the verge of frank unkindness, even invoking that old chestnut "Trust the Plan" to remind us that, though things may look dark, "nothing can stop what is coming".

Don't worry [sarcasm] they had that covered, too, warning us that we might not even like the president for quite a while, but if we just keep up our state of desperate hope for the fairytale ending, nothing will have stopped what is coming.
I wonder how many people never really thought through precisely what that even meant. There's never been a day on this planet that could have been stopped by any of us. Sure, we can be excellent forecasters, cultivating wisdom and probity, and avert all kinds of calamity that way, but we have not been doing that, now have we?
No, we haven't.
We've been letting the dumbing and debauching and unremitting hot pokers of terror stoke our greed for heavenly pastures, because we expected our freedom to mean free as in at no cost. Morals cost the moral plenty. Freedom without morals is the playground for the corrupt.
Stop. Look. At the world in the mirror.
