ONLY takeaway for me was that he said he's going to Russia TWICE. I couldn't snap it off after the first one because he might've misspoken, but he said it again when as far as anyone knows he's going to ALASKA to meet Putin.
BUT, it crossed my mind earlier that it would've been better if he'd never named the place for the summit, and THEN it crossed my mind that he could tell everyone Alaska when he was going to fly right over it to Vladivostok. BOTH of them being far safer there than in Alaska.
But, I guess, he's got everyone guessing now... and that's got to be better'n giving them all so much lead time on a sure thing.
