If this explains the recent intense uptick in highly literate people suddenly speaking as though some moron secretary were responding incorrectly to the spellcheck function on her word processor. I swear to God, not a day goes by anymore without gross errors in speech reaching me through people on podcasts, videos like this, news reports misusing the English language in places COMPLETELY inconsistent with the subject on which they are speaking.
JUST like it's coming from some insentient typewriter-based squawk box.
