We are getting bombarded with opinions from both the well-meaning and the extremely ill-wishers. This isn't like armies facing off against each other, you know, uniforms. It's like a combo war on drugs, GWOT and seriously snarly retribution for stealing the 2020 election.
Everybody's wailing that the fentanyl is coming from Mexico, but we've closed that border and they might well be routing it through Venezuela now. We don't even know. What we DO know, though, is there ARE terrorist gangs from Venezuela here right now, and maybe trying with the drug shipments. Like they'll take the drugs here in exchange for the disposable boat.
Even if it is as Colonel Karen said the other day, that there were two survivors clinging to a bit of boat that got the double tap, and I have NO idea if that's even true to begin with, those two were either going to continue providing self-murder to us or doing it to get here to do it themselves.
We're not talking about innocent bystanders, about non-combatants. We're talking about people who would do it again, or something like it, even if we'd just left them out there... or tried to rescue them... or did rescue them. Mox nix.
It's not a declared war, a thousand times we've seen the Geneva Convention mangled for our politicians' fun and profit, done bubkes about it, and it's not even actually under that heading. Presidents use our military almost without any rules ever since Congress threw up their hands and gave 'em carte blanche decades ago.
