Boobee's little hissy about the tariffs caused Jeffrey Sachs to go into arch Democratic condescension mode, and lower tier finance grifters to loose their tongues around their sharpened fangs on Howard Lutnick who had been the head cheerleader for the tariffs.
He has the misfortune to be extremely wealthy, Epstein's next door neighbor for two decades and... of course... Jewish. So he's now being painted as one of the people shorting the airline stocks before 9/11... and all that implies... because there are people who believe Jews have no morals when it comes to money, kink or power. They're even accusing his sons.
To my knowledge there's NO evidence of any wrongdoing on his part beyond lying about how well acquainted he is with his next door neighbor, and I am damn sure that anyone who thought he could get away with it would've told that lie after all the hoopla in the media.

I have not seen anything from or about him that would cause me to believe he's guilty of anything more than one big, understandable, fib. If it had been me, I'd've been sorely pressed to do the same thing, just to spare myself and my family the screeching harpy-fest from admitting that I'd kept my spouse and children around me every time I could not avoid the neighbor pressure.
Maybe he'll turn out to be as psychopathic as the harpies are painting him, but there are mountains of reasonable doubt and convicting him with those mountains still cluttering up the table really only convicts the harpy painters with their bloody brushes.
The intent of the tariffs is: moving manufacturing back onshore AND eliminating the income tax. We voted for those.
