I have narrowed it down to two possibilities: [1] Neo-Caligula has entered that highly agitated, completely unreasoning, phase of the slide into frank dementia; or [2] he's wanted into the death cult psychopaths' circle — they/them — for so long and with such determination that they finally caved and offered him a seat for the Trump Family in perpetuity if he showed he would damn his immortal soul in this way.
