one of the generals fired a few days ago — I'm listening to Shawn Ryan's latest release [twelve hours] with Pete Blaber. I just listened to them talking [weeks ago] about a total POS general's involvement with the Pat Tillman clusterfuck. Hodne. So I googled. Hodne is one of the generals Hegseth just fired.

I gotta repeat that we should NOT get upset by the firing of most generals in the US military. They are products of the weird up-or-out imperative in our military. Can't just leave someone in the job they're good at, OR push them out because there's no fitting slot for them to move into. No, better to have more generals than grunts.

Well, it's NOT better. In this STUPID scheme, you get almost exclusively seriously undeserving and seriously incompetent members of the politically astute kind in charge of everyone whose LIFE may depend on their completely missing judgment.

the silver lining... is that fired POS Generals are more likely to caterwaul [see first link above] enough to help get Crassus-Caligula 25'd.
