we'd all been wondering — about when they'd quit bitching about china's rare earths long enough to go out and dig some up on their own — i've been wondering for years what's going to happen when we realize it was a mistake to get parts for our weapons, and vast quantities of other necessities, from them, but was mollified by bozo coming in and declaring we were getting our manufacturing back... silly me....

i'm, like, 11 or 12, getting upset by mounting reports of trouble in or involving israel... mom, how can israel be our friends? they're doing awful things... and mom's all, no, no, they have to, they're surrounded by arabs who want to murder them... and i'm all, well, i can see why their neighbors don't like them... and she's all, they are protecting the holy land, we need them... i'm all, in my head, going that does NOT make ANY sense... i mean, if it's holy to all three abrahamic religions, NONE of them would EVER hurt it... and if you don't know how old i am now, you might not understand this fully... let's just say israel was not even old enough to get into a nightclub back then... my position has been, despite my mother's excuses, that religious fanatics CANNOT murder each other in the holy land... you cannot be a murderer on holy ground... making an UNHOLY dystopia in the holy land isn't what godly people, what HUMANS do....
