They were worried we wouldn't be around to see their handiwork if they waited until the 22nd. I don't know about where you are, but today was one of the most gorgeous days I have ever lived through. The sky around here is so often a mindblower... when it's not just plain overcast, of course.

It's damn cold out there. Has been all day, even though it has been mostly sunny. Like the north pole is edging back down here. I couldn't find an image I could make even close to today's sky. The clouds were a mix of lavender and white and various incarnations of gray. Each distinct. Heavily to the lavender. So heavily I put on my lavender uggs to match.

A tiny cell of rain passed over just before I was leaving for my walk. So my walk was full of all these cool clouds and a funny squishing noise from my footfalls. The trees were darker green. The sky was about something to do with perfusions of saintly energies making flowers bloom and birds sing and people float.

So if this is the end of the world, I am loving it.
