Until one is bearing down on me personally. I'm sorry, but the whole business outrages me to SUCH an extent and NO amount of commiserating with the poor professionals at CalFire ever improves things. In a real sense, the world is trying to burn down and I don't have any more screaming and handwringing room left.
I do check to see how close the nearest one might be to me from time to time, have even been smelling smoke fairly often the last week or so, but that's IT. The local FD knows to call me on my landline if I need to evacuate. That's the best I can do.
